Staten Island Community Center Winter Gala and Award Ceremony

Dear Friend!

Re: Staten Island Community Center Winter Gala and Award Ceremony

Staten Island Community Center and its future is an example of a fantastic dream becoming reality. Many have dreams as beautiful, but they are never realized. One essential step between a dream and reality is work.

Arkadiy Fridman, President of SICC feels blessed since he met the wonderful and remarkable, New York State Assembly member Janele Hyer-Spencer. From the first meeting she was not only impressed by the work Mr. Fridman and his staff were doing but was also eager to help Staten Island Community Center become the most comfortable place for today’s young generation of Staten Island. In 2008, the New York State Assembly allocated $4,000,000 to support the development of a new home for the Staten Island Community Center. This may be perceived by others as the end to a long process, but it is just beginning.

On March 12, 2009 Staten Island Communty Center will hold its first Winter Gala and Award Ceremony at the JCC of Staten Island from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. This is not merely the organization’s first fundraising event, but also a small token of appreciation to those who have made the future expansion of Staten Island Community Center possible. This event will celebrate the hard work of New York State Assembly Member Janele Hyer-Spencer along with other prominent leaders of the community. Organizers of this affair are proud to announce that United States Senators, United States Congress Members along with local elected officials will attend this event to congratulate Janele Hyer-Spencer and other honorees. Their attendance is not only a sign of respect, it is also an acknowledgment of the importance and significance of the efforts made by Staten Island Community Center to build a new home for Staten Island families.

It’s important to recognize that the future of our country depends on the support we provide for our children in the present. The fundamental ideology, to create a brighter future, makes this project of utmost importance to complete. In this difficult time for our country and its economy we, the members of Staten Island Community Center Board of Directors, appreciate everyone's support. It is our hope that with help from the community, our new center will become the ultimate home away from home for everyone. We strongly believe our message will reach everyone's hearts and earn their support, as this unique project means building a future home for thousands of families living on Staten Island.

Very truly yours,

Arkadiy Fridman,
SICC, Inc. President
